Born in Pottstown, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Helen (Hartman) Hauder. Paula was a graduate of Pottstown High School, and studied at Bryn Mawr School of Nursing. She had been employed as a Teachers Assistant for The Springford Area School District and after retirement volunteered as a Foster Grandparent.
